About Kristen Ghersi Hering

Dr. Kristen Ghersi Hering received her Bachelor of Art’s from Michigan State University (2009), a Master’s of Art’s in Forensic Psychology from the Chicago Professional School of Psychology (2011), as well as a Master’s of Art’s in Clinical Psychology (2014) and her Doctor of Philosophy in Clinical Psychology from the University of Detroit Mercy (2017). Dr. Hering was the recipient of the University of Detroit Mercy’s Distinguished Clinical Practice award in 2017 for her outstanding contributions to clinical practice while pursuing her degree. She received her post-doctoral training at John D. Dingell VA Medical Center where she specialized in interprofessional mental health and interdisciplinary collaboration, program development, and inpatient mental health. Her research interests while in graduate school focused on sexuality, sexual victimization and rape culture.
